Sen. Ted Cruz says watching paint dry would be more productive than tuning into a single second of the January 6 committee's first public hearing

Sen. Ted Cruz says he'd rather watch paint dry than attend the committee's first public hearing on January 6th.

Thursday night is the first of six public hearings for the January 6 committee

Ted Cruz has stated that he will not watch the "political campaign ad for Democrats." Cruz said.Aside from personal grooming, yard work, or home improvement, he said he preferred to spend his time doing these things.Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, a Republican, listed three things he'd rather do than sit through the committee's much-anticipated prime-time hearing on January 6 if he could.

"My lawn needs to be mowed. Make a brushing motion with your fingers through my hair. "Or you could just sit back and watch the paint dry on the walls," Cruz suggested as an alternative to "validating the existence of a Democratic political campaign ad.""

President Joe Biden and congressional Democrats have failed the American people, Cruz claimed, and the ongoing House investigation is nothing more than political theatre designed to distract them from that fact.

Cruz told Insider in the Senate's tunnels that the entire hearing, from the opening gavel to the closing bell, was a political Hail Mary pass. People in the United States are extremely dissatisfied with the failure of the left-wing policy agenda over the past two years.

Later, Cruz issued an apology for what he called a "dumb word choice."Insider inquired if Cruz thought the January 6 committee staff might come up with some policy proposals to make his workplace a safer place, and Cruz turned his head and smiled.According to him, "I doubt that they're trying to come up with meaningful and productive ideas," he stated. As far as I can tell, they're involved in politics.
